Hartzell Propeller Inc. has issued Revision 3 to Service Bulletin HC-SB-61-287.
This service bulletin addresses the periodic blade shank inspection and replacement of the bearing for the Hartzell Part No. HC-E4A-3( )/E10950( ) propellers installed on Beechcraft 1900D’s. Revision 3 increases the interval of the inspection/replacement from 3,000 hours to 3,500 hours. The 500 hour increase is due to acceptable inspection teardown results following service bulletin compliance.
Hartzell continues to monitor blades coming into overhaul and with a successful confirmation of 80 more blades, Hartzell plans to increase the interval to 4,000 hours.
